Sometimes, life hands you a story you just can’t wait to share — and this is one of those moments.
I was fortunate enough to meet Aleena Garner, Cognitive Neuroscientist and TEDx Speaker, through a family connection. While I didn’t get the chance to pick her brain in depth, I was deeply impressed by her ability to translate complex brain science into wisdom that can touch millions. In fact, her TEDxNewEngland talk, “How Memories Shape Your Reality,” has the potential to reach over 40 million viewers — and for good reason.
In her talk, Aleena explains how our perception of the present is shaped by a blend of past experiences, current sensory input, and the brain’s own predictions. For anyone on a wellness journey, this is a powerful reminder: we can reframe our past, be mindful of our present, and intentionally create positive moments that will shape our future reality.

This post wasn’t planned — it’s a last‑minute addition because I didn’t want to wait to share it with you. My scheduled blog on air pollution and its impact on health will still be posted tomorrow as promised.
Sometimes, inspiration can’t be put on hold.
